Temperature Curve of Coffee in Bodum Colombia and Bodum Pavina

To prove and illustrate how well Colombia keeps coffee hot in its body, we did a simple experiment to measure how long the
Colombia can hold the serving coffee's temperature within the specific temperature range.  Using a multimeter, we brewed a
6-ounce cup in the Colombia for 4.5 minutes, pressed the plunger and started to record down the temperatures at regular
intervals.  Similarly, the same experiment was conducted on the Pavina by pouring 1 ounce of pressed coffee (from the
Colombia as well).  Other factors recorded during the experiment: hot water of 95 degree Celsius, ambient temperature of 29
degree Celsius.

From the experiment, we can see that the Colombia is capable of holding the coffee from 84 to 61 degrees for almost 40
minutes, while the Pavina managed to keep the temperature down to 54 degrees for around 11 minutes.

Though the Pavina did not fair well compared to the Colombia, it was not a level playing field because the volume does play an
important part in holding the temperature.  Nevertheless, given the demitasse size made of glass, the Pavina does its job
better than most other demitasse cup to keep the small volume warm for at least 10 mins
