About The QARR Shop
The QARR Coffee is the first online store based in Singapore dedicated to the everyone
who loves coffee. It is also the first online store to feature a complete range of coffee and
coffee-related products and services that promise to equip one with the necessary tools,
knowledge and skills to make and appreciate a great cup of coffee.
With all the big names such as Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Spinelli, and many
others in Singapore and the rest of South East Asia, it seems that we are the next Seattle of
specialty coffee cities. On the contrary, we are at least 10 years behind the US, Europe and
Australia in terms of the accessibility to specialty coffee, coffee equipments and most
importantly, the knowledge to truly appreciate coffee. Probably due to the fact that robusta
coffee has laid a huge foundation in creating the “coffee taste” in this part of Asia that made
the entrance of the more expensive and complex Arabica more challenging. And since
coffee trade is a volume business and with the relatively smaller markets in this region,
coupled with the consumption habits of Asians, sustaining a coffee-only business is very
competitive and brand name plays an exceptionally crucial role in promoting one’s coffee
as the best tasting coffee around. With the lack of coffee professionals, knowledge in
proper brewing procedures, and high cost of introducing quality coffee equipments, it
